After pursuing a foreign policy that has driven gas prices up for working families, Trump’s latest move here at home takes direct aim at our health, our environment, and our pocketbooks. The last time there was an energy crisis we increased fuel efficiency standards, but Trump is instead taking an America-last approach. Gutting the clean car rules will mean more pollution in our communities, more money to fill up our tanks, and a major advantage for foreign car industries at the expense of American workers. It’s time for Congress to take a breath and push back on these foolish policies that are harming our economy, our environment, and our health.
