DURING NYC CLIMATE WEEK, NYLCV GIVES GREEN ANNOUNCES FINAL ROUND OF 2026 ENDORSEMENTS

NYLCV Backs Environmental Champions for the State Legislature
and Local Office Across New York

The New York League of Conservation Voters Gives Green is proud to announce a new round of endorsements for the 2026 general election, backing environmental champions running for the New York State Senate, State Assembly, and local office across the state. This round brings NYLCV’s total endorsements for the 2026 cycle to 202, with nearly 90 percent of the organization’s 116 primary-endorsed candidates advancing to the general election.

“New York needs elected leaders who will keep fighting for clean air, clean water, and a livable future,” said Julie Tighe, President of the New York League of Conservation Voters. “This slate of candidates has shown they understand what’s at stake for our environment and our communities, and we are proud to stand behind them as we head into the general election.”

The announcement comes during Climate Week NYC, underscoring the urgency of strong environmental leadership at every level of government as the Trump Administration continues to roll back federal climate action and environmental protections. NYLCV will keep working to elect and support leaders in Albany and in local government who are ready to defend New York’s progress and build a healthier, more sustainable future for all New Yorkers.
