Terry Clements

Terry Clements is seeking reelection to the Westchester Board of Legislators, representing District 11. Since she was elected to the Board in 2018, she has been involved in the development of a Climate Action Plan aligned with New York State’s Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act, setting major emissions reductions targets and guidelines for future climate mitigation and adaptation. Clements’ district is especially impacted by flooding which remains her priority in future climate planning and legislation. She has also worked with the Board through NYSDEC’s Climate Smart Communities (CSC) grant program to secure funding to support local climate action across the region. Her initiatives include expanding EV infrastructure across parks and public spaces, electrifying the county’s bus fleet, LED and building efficiency upgrades, and implementation of smart demand-response energy conservation technology. With the Board of Legislators, she worked to help pass the Clean Water, Clean Air, and Green Jobs Environmental Bond Act, which supports the counties local initiatives with state-level investment. If reelected, Terry Clements will continue to lead with a commitment to equitability and sustainability and a strong awareness of local needs.
