Shanae Williams

Shanae Williams is seeking reelection as Westchester County Legislator for District 16. As legislator, she has voted to allocate nearly $3 million for comprehensive water facility evaluations countywide, including in Yonkers, and to bond $10 million connecting the county’s water system to the NYC Delaware Aqueduct as an emergency backup. She also supported the county’s Flood Mitigation Bond Act, directing $2 million toward flood planning and grant applications. Williams has worked with the Beczak Environmental Education Center on public education and personally participated in community cleanups across her district and neighboring areas. She supports expanding riverfront access along the Hudson, including a new waterfront park in Yonkers, and wants to promote sustainable lawn care and native plantings countywide. If reelected, she will continue pushing to protect drinking water quality and work to expand food scrap recycling programs.
