Shanae Williams

Shanae Williams is running for re-election to the Westchester Board of Legislators representing District 16. She has been in government for over a decade and has always been an advocate for the environment. Prior to being a Legislator, she was a Councilmember in the City of Yonkers. In her role there, she supported and helped fund green initiatives, including converting the city fleet from gas to electric/hybrid vehicles, creating a leaf blower rebate program to encourage residents to switch to electric leaf blowers, and planting trees throughout the community. As a Legislator, she has continued these efforts and has been advocating for all housing developments that come before the Board to be pro-environment, including environmentally friendly cooling and heating systems, and making sure that there are parking spaces allotted for electric cars. If re-elected, she will remain committed to doing everything in her power to reduce our carbon footprint, conserve energy, and create a greener county.
