Richite Torres is seeking reelection for United States Congress, representing New York District 15. During his time in Congress, Richie Torres has proven himself to be a strong environmental advocate scoring 100% on LCV’s scorecard last year. He consistently advocates for those who encounter environmental injustice and helped secure $50 million in IRA funding for environmental justice grants that directly address climate resilience in disadvantaged communities across EPA Region 2. As part of his negotiations with the Governor’s team, Torres secured $155 million in new investments over five years for the Bronx as part of the city’s congestion pricing plan, including the construction of electric vehicle infrastructure, school asthma programming, the renovation of local parks and green spaces, and the enhancement of air quality monitoring. If re-elected Richie Torres will continue to be an environmental champion both on state and federal levels.
