Richard “RJ” Renna

RJ Renna is running for election for the Suffolk County Legislature in District 11. Throughout his time serving on the Village of Lindenhurst Board and as Deputy Mayor, Renna has advanced many environmental projects and promoted sustainability in Suffolk County. He spearheaded a partnership with Johnson Controls that brought solar panels to the commuter lot and made energy efficiency upgrades across all village-owned buildings. He also helped implement the village-wide conversion of all streetlights to energy-efficient LED fixtures, reducing carbon emissions and saving taxpayer dollars. Beyond this, he has done work to improve stormwater management and has supported better coastal infrastructure and erosion reduction. If elected, Renna will continue to make Suffolk County more energy efficient, resilient, and sustainable.
