Nancy Barr

Nancy Barr is running for re-election to represent District 6 in the Westchester County Board of Legislators. Since joining the Board of Legislators, Barr has made sustainability and environmental protection a priority. She is a strong supporter of the transition away from fossil fuels, advocating for electric cars, improved public transportation, and the building of solar panels on parking lots. Under her leadership, electric vehicle charging stations were added around the county, including at parks and golf courses. She co-sponsored several county laws relating to sustainability, such as the “Upon Request” law regarding single-use items for takeout and the ban on polystyrene. If re-elected, she will continue fighting for renewable energy, clean air, and sustainable waste management.
