Mazi Melesa Pilip

Mazi Melesa Pilip is running for her re-election in the Nassau County Legislature for District 10. During her time on the County Legislature, Pilip has supported and approved important county initiatives to protect the environment. Specifically, she has allocated significant funds to: the Great Neck Water Pollution Control District, Sewer Studies for Kings Point, Manhasset and Plandome, and many initiatives that tackle flooding. Pilip is committed to working with the Long Island Power Authority and all other stakeholders to ensure that Nassau County’s energy infrastructure needs are met. Pilip is a strong advocate of clean transportation and continues to lobby for additional funds for Nassau County’s transportation infrastructure. As a Legislator, Pilip has also supported initiatives to preserve open space, including the Environmental Bond Act and open space. If reelected, Pilip will continue to be a positive advocate for environmental issues in Nassau County.
