Max Ruckdeschel

Max Ruckdeschel is running for election for DeWitt Town Supervisor. He currently serves as a DeWitt Town Councilor, where he has fought to preserve tree coverage and pushed to enforce town laws against clear cutting trees. In his prior role as Commissioner of Education, he joined elected officials in advocating to ban fracking statewide. As a board member of his local library, he successfully championed the installation of solar panels, a green roof, and charging ports for electric vehicles in the parking lot. Since then he has worked to have more chargers installed throughout DeWitt. Ruckdeschel is committed to maintaining and advancing DeWitt’s reputation for environmental protection. If elected, he will expand the town’s network of solar power;,work to make his town more walkable and bikeable, and improve its options for public transportation. As Supervisor, he will work with the local planning department to be designated as a Climate Smart Community and will foster sustainability and efficiency in DeWitt.
