Maurice Brown

Maurice Brown is running for re-election as the Onondaga County Legislator representing District 15. As a County Legislator, Brown has worked to amend the 2025 budget to help secure county funding for lead filters in homes affected by contaminated water, prioritizing clean, safe drinking water for communities that have historically been overlooked. Brown is also a supporter of expanding renewable energy infrastructure and offering training programs for local workers. Furthermore, he supports NY state’s Climate Smart Communities program, promising to advocate for the funding, staffing, and planning resources needed to help municipalities meet certification standards. Maurice Brown believes local governments must lead by example in addressing the climate crisis. If re-elected Maurice Brown will work to make sure that every resident has access to clean air, safe recreational areas, and a thriving ecosystem.
