Keith Powers

Keith Powers is running for election for Manhattan Borough President. During his time in the New York City Council, he has earned consecutive perfect scores from NYLCV in 2022, 2023, and 2024, and is proud of his pro-environment record, fighting to tackle climate change. Councilmember Powers is committed to creating a healthier and more sustainable community for all. He is particularly proud of his spearheading of coastal resiliency that will create necessary protections against future superstorms and flooding, passing the law that will see New York City’s entire vehicle fleet converted to zero-emission electric vehicles, and being a lead sponsor on the Zero Waste Act. Councilmember Powers hopes to build on these accomplishments in the Borough President’s Office and make Manhattan the leader on environmental issues in the city.
