Kathee Burke-Gonzalez

Kathee Burke-Gonzalez is running for re-election to represent the Town of East Hampton as Supervisor. Burke-Gonzalez’s commitment to the environment has been evident in her term as Town Supervisor and her time training with Al Gore as a Climate Reality Leader in 2019 and 2024. Burke-Gonzalez championed the Fire Island to Montauk Point project for coastal resiliency. This effort brought in nearly 500,000 cubic yards of sand to rebuild Montauk’s downtown beaches, which were critically eroded, and has been placed on a four-year replenishment cycle. The Town of East Hampton approved the first off-shore wind farm in New York State, generating clean power for 70,000 homes. She is committed to sustainable land use and development, reducing the maximum allowable house size and disturbance of soils and groundwater. If re-elected, Burke-Gonzalez will continue to prioritize environmental initiatives, develop a long-term resiliency plan, and support renewable energy in the Town of East Hampton.
