Howard Kopel

Howard Kopel is running for re-election to the Nassau County Legislature District 7. He has been involved in attempts to conserve energy dating back to the 1970s, when he worked as an attorney at Con Edison, working on projects such as pumped storage. Later, he worked at an international engineering company where he spearheaded projects for cogeneration and other conservation activities. As a Legislator, he has always supported efforts to enhance efficiency. In addition to these priorities, he is also in favor of improving water quality in the region and more sustainable upgrades to waste management. If re-elected, he will help advance environmental initiatives in the county and promote more sustainable practices.
