Greg Doroski
Greg Doroski is running for election to represent District 1 on the Suffolk County Legislature. Currently serving as Southold Town Councilman, he has worked to protect quality of life on the North Folk by promoting zoning reforms, preserving farmland and open space, and safeguarding local waterways and the aquifer. During his tenure, Doroski has helped preserve hundreds of acres of farmland and open space through funding from municipal bonds, the Community Preservation Fund, and partnerships with Suffolk County and private donors. Doroski also pushed for the removal of stormwater outflows that discharged pollutants into the Peconic Estuary, replacing them with permeable drain fields that naturally filter pollutants before they reach local waters. As a strong supporter of New York’s Climate Act, Doroski helped negotiate a lease to build a 3.5 MW solar array at Southold’s closed landfill. If elected, he will continue fighting for policies that balance preservation, clean water, and renewable energy across Suffolk County.
