Erin Cassady-Dorion

Erin Cassady-Dorion is running for Town Supervisor of Niskayuna. During her time as Town Supervisor, Cassady-Dirion has supported environmentally conscious planning in Niskayuna by promoting the use of electric vehicles for town staff, maintaining the Tree City designation, and expanding electronics recycling to reduce mercury in the water supply. Cassady-Dorion is committed to finding the best way for the town to transition to EVs. She is also working on making the town more livable by initiating a project that would cut down the number of garbage trucks on the street and pushing for a speed zone on the county road that would make it easier for students to walk and bike to school. She is prioritizing the preservation of green space in the town’s comprehensive plan by protecting both public and select private lands while also supporting biodiversity through low-mow areas that encourage native plant and bird habitats. If re-elected, her forward-thinking approach will ensure that Niskayuna grows sustainably while enhancing the quality of life for all residents.
