Emiljana Ulaj

Emiljana Ulaj is running for re-election to the Westchester Board of Legislators representing District 9. Taking inspiration from her father’s union job, she has been dedicated to public service from a young age,  working as a hands-on public advocate, a staff member for the New York State Senate, and now as a union organizer. During her first term on the Board of Legislators, she supported solar energy projects, expanded composting and public transportation, while also helping convert the Bee-Line bus fleet to all-electric or hybrid vehicles. She is committed to the creation of renewable energy generation sources and the infrastructure commitments and upgrades to support them, all throughout Westchester County, but recognizes the need for a delicate approach. If re-elected, she will leverage her experience in organizing to find common ground with local leaders and push environmental priorities, including clean energy, green transportation, and coastal resilience, forward.
