Delia DeRiggi-Whitton

Delia DeRiggi-Whitton is seeking re-election to the Nassau County Legislature in District 11. Inspired by her family, she developed a passion for environmental preservation early in life. She remains committed to protecting water quality and expanding investments in sewer infrastructure. DeRiggi-Whitton spearheaded bipartisan legislation prohibiting the County from using snow-melt pellets made from fracking water. She also secured the inclusion of key sewer and stormwater upgrades in the County’s 2025 infrastructure plan and has consistently advocated for reducing plastic waste. If re-elected, DeRiggi-Whitton will continue to fight for clean water, renewable energy, and the preservation of open space.
