Cynthia Nunez

Cynthia Nunez is running to represent District 14 in the Nassau County Legislature. Nunez has demonstrated a strong commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability both in her role as School Board Trustee and as a member of Valley Stream’s Environmental Working Group. As School Board Trustee, she championed the installation of water filtration systems throughout District 24, ensuring clean drinking water while reducing reliance on single-use plastic bottles. Nunez also actively supported and helped secure funding for sustainable playground equipment made from recycled materials. If elected, Nunez will continue her commitment to environmental initiatives, specifically expanding green spaces, reducing carbon emissions through energy-efficient building practices, promoting environmental education, and implementing sustainable waste management practices.
