Minita Sanghvi
Minita Sanghvi is running for County Supervisor of Saratoga Springs. Sanghvi currently serves as the Commissioner of Finance in Saratoga Springs, along with working as an associate professor at Skidmore College. During her time as Commissioner of Finance, her office made $150,000 available for solar panel installation at Pitney Meadows and introduced Participatory Budgeting, which allows residents to start sustainability projects. She was involved in replacing street lights with LED lights and has shown strong support for the Climate Smart Task Force. Her office installed EV chargers while advocating for more EV and hybrid cars for public workers. Sanghvi is committed to working with anyone to reduce energy use from vehicles and continue to explore an EV charging network for Saratoga Springs. She believes it is important to invest in more parks and green spaces to incentivize families and children to spend more time outside. If elected, one of her priorities will be to look for more opportunities to work with schools to help them buy from local farms, while also continuing to fight to make Saratoga Springs more sustainable.
