Michele Madigan

Michele Madigan is running for the Mayor of the City of Saratoga Springs. Currently, Madigan serves as the County Supervisor of Saratoga Springs and has previously served as the Commissioner of Finance of Saratoga Springs. During her time in office, Madigan was a part of multiple environmental initiatives. She led the development of the Spa Solar Park, installing nearly 8,000 solar panels on a former landfill to provide 40% of the city’s municipal energy while reducing emissions equivalent to planting 1.3 million trees. She also launched a range of innovative sustainability initiatives—from smart tech infrastructure and energy-efficient streetlights to green community spaces and a centralized Sustainability Hub—promoting clean energy, digital access, and community engagement. Madigan plans to advance Community Choice Aggregation to harness collective purchasing power for renewables. Madiagan also plans to expand clean transportation practices in Saratoga Springs by advocating for local ordinances to require EV-ready construction in new developments and transitioning the city’s fleet to hybrid and electric vehicles. Building on her work with the Sustainability Hub, Madigan plans to work with downtown businesses to add standardized recycling bins and streamline collection routes. With her proven track record of environmental leadership and a forward-looking vision for sustainable growth, if elected, Michele Madigan will continue making Saratoga Springs a greener and healthier city for all.
