Debra Mulé
Debra Mulé is seeking re-election to the Nassau County Legislature, representing District 6. During her tenure, she has fought for hands-on environmental protection by leading cleanups in local parks and composting workshops to reduce waste. Through Nassau’s Capital Plan, she has secured funding to preserve and enhance natural assets such as Silver Lake Park and Lofts Pond. Mulé has also pursued innovative projects such as expanding urban farming and strengthening local ecosystems. She co-sponsored the countywide ban on single-use Styrofoam products, which passed unanimously, and proposed legislation requiring merchants to charge a five-cent fee for disposable bags that pollute our environment. If re-elected, Mulé intends to build on her pro-environment record by championing environmental policies that protect Nassau’s parks, reduce waste, and promote a healthier, safer future for the community.
