David Imamura

David Imamura is running for re-election to the Westchester Board of Legislators representing District 12. During his time as the Chair of the Environment & Energy Committee of the Board of Legislators, he oversaw the passage of multiple bills concerning the environment, including a law requiring the monitoring and remediation of lead in County parks, a law requiring a renewable energy database that assists in siting renewable energy infrastructure, and the creation of an act which requires consideration of environmental justice. He has been a voice in the Legislature, helping to ensure that the new Bee Line Bus contract is fair to riders. He is also committed to mitigating flooding along the Saw Mill River, reducing plastic use in the county, and supporting the Climate Smart Communities program. If re-elected, he will continue to support the communities he represents in efforts to address environmental needs and advance sustainable initiatives.
