Currently, New York City stands in violation of federal Clean Air standards. As a result, asthma rates in some of the city's communities of color are four times the national average.

The NAACP Brooklyn Branch, American Democracy Project, Medgar Evers College-CUNY, and SHARE: Safe Healthy Affordable Reliable Energy invite you to hear firsthand from medical, environmental, academic and civil rights experts how to reverse this disturbing trend and become a stakeholder in New York's environmental and energy future.

The forum will be held in the Presidential Conference Center Room B1008 at Medgar Evers College-CUNY, located at 1650 Broadway Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11225.

Continental breakfast and lunch will be served.
