The battle between developers and conservationists in Brookhaven has come to a halt this week when the town board approved a Community Preservation Fund (CPF) proposal to be on the ballot this November. If the initiative passes 5,000 acres of land will be preserved and an estimated $600 million will be generated for the county. |
