Tappan Zee Has New Management

The state Thruway Authority handed over management of the Tappan Zee Bridge yesterday to the Department of Transportation.

The DOT will now be in charge of the plan to replace the 51 year old bridge and will handle day-to-day operations including managing contracts and engaging the public on the process.

Public Gets Sneak Peak at Tappan Zee Plans

There were around 150 people at SUNY Purchase College last night checking out 50-foot maps of the possible complex systems of commuter rail, light rail, or bus rapid transit routes that might be built across the bridge.
