Please join the NYLCV Capital District Chapter for their annual Eco-Breakfast! Monday, May 19, 2008 This year we are excited to present an Environmental Lifetime Achievement Award to U.S. Representative Mike McNulty and a Corporate Pioneer Award to Price Chopper/The Golub Corporation. We also welcome New York State Deputy Secretary for the Environment Judith Enck as our Keynote Speaker. We are also pleased to present 2008 "Greener Pastures" Awards to our former board members who have gone on to serve New York's environment through positions in state government: Parks Commissioner Carol Ash, DEC Regional Director Willie Janeway and DEC Associate Counsel David Sampson. The U.S. EPA was supposed to begin in 2005 to dredge up 1.3 million pounds of PCBs that GE had dumped in the Hudson River years ago. They've just postponed it (again) until 2009. |
