As the Director of Civic Engagement, Julia develops and implements voter education and mobilization programs for NYLCV and the NYLCV Education Fund.  These initiatives are designed to educate New Yorkers on environmental issues and empower them to be effective grassroots advocates at the local, state and federal levels.

Julia brings to her role at the League experience as an activist, educator and advocate. Before joining the League, she was the Public Policy Associate at Hadassah, where she oversaw the organization's advocacy and policy activities.  She has also worked for inMotion and the Anti-Defamation League, and has been a consultant to a number of other non-profit organizations in the New York area.  Prior to her work in the non-profit sector, Julia practiced law at Chadbourne & Parke LLP.         

Julia is a graduate of Emory University School of Law and the University of Michigan, where she earned a degree in Political Science.  She lives in Brooklyn, New York.
