Environmental Issues Facing New York State

Even in these challenging economic times, New York State cannot afford to retreat from its environmental goals or endanger our water and air because of a shrinking budget. In fact, greater environmental sustainability is a building block for a revitalized New York.

You can find specific policy recommendations to members of the New York State Assembly and Senate that will help improve the environment and the economy. Encompassing clean energy, sustainable development, mass transit and much more, the ten-step guide seeks to protect New York's water and air, while creating jobs and building better infrastructure in NYLCV's Education Fund 2010 New York State Policy Agenda.

Inspired by this agenda, NYLCV has issued the following Bill Memos in either support or opposition to budgetary and legislative initiatives under consideration in Albany this year that embody these goals.
