Last Tuesday's Green Professionals Mixer -- featuring actor and cycling advocate Matthew Modine -- drew a record crowd and record support for NYLCV!
Scores of people turned out for the event, held at the fantastic Revision Lounge in Alphabet City, to mix, mingle and exchange ideas about ways to go green.
Modine spoke about his passion for cycling as well as his initiative, Bicycle for a Day . The group's mission is to empower individuals with tools which they can use in their everyday lives to make a measurable, tangible difference to our community, our environment and our personal health.
A fantastic host committee worked hard to make Tuesday's event a success. The host committee included NYLCV supporters Omar Alvarellos, Rachel Amar, Ann Davlin, Christian DiPalermo, Matthew Goodman, Julie Greenberg, Jonathan Greenspun, Rich Kassel, Mike Klein, Ted Roosevelt V, Jack Schnirman and Matthew Washington. The committee was co-chaired by NYLCV New York City Chapter Board Members Sarah Currie-Halpern and Jason Sunshine, who both spoke at the event.
The event was also generously supported by Green Mountain Energy .
Thanks again to Matthew Modine for charming the crowd, and to everyone who turned out for this great event! Stay tuned for our next Green Professionals Mixer in the fall.
