Electricte de France may take over the Robert E. Ginna power plant near Rochester.Despite keeping the Constellation Energy Group [1], owner of the Robert E. Ginna nuclear power plant, afloat during a liquidity crisis, Warren Buffett [2] was rejected in his offer to buy the company for $4.7 billion, according to the Democrat and Chronicle [3].
Constellation has accepted a $4.5 billion bid from French energy company Electricite de France [4]instead. If the deal goes through, Constellation's power plants will be the first in the nation to be owned by a foreign corporation.
