Chris Ward Named New Port Authority Executive Director

Christopher O. Ward, a longtime NYLCV board member, has been named executive director of the Port Authority [1] of New York and New Jersey by Gov. David Paterson [2].

Christopher O. WardChristopher O. WardWard is currently the managing director of the General Contractors Association [3] of New York, and previously worked for the Port Authority from 1997 to 2002 as director of port development. He is also a past commissioner of the New York City Department of Environmental Protection [4].

“Building on the Port Authority’s legacy, I look forward to working with Chairman Coscia and the Port Authority board to continue to serve the infrastructure needs of the state and the region moving forward," Ward said in a press release [5].
