Northern Ethanol Inc.In Niagara Falls, a Toronto-based firm building an ethanol plant in the city will provide 500 construction job, and over 100 full time positions. This all depends on the if the project is accepted in the state brown-field cleanup program.

According to the Buffalo News the state Department of Environmental Conservation [3] imposed a 90-day moratorium on new applications to obtain tax credits in return for cleaning up and redeveloping contaminated sites. City and county leaders have backed the project and want it approved.
