A recruiting message in the form of a personal ad has netted the New York League of Conservation Voters its first candidate. In an e-mail last week, the group sought candidates committed to combating climate change and working in brownfields for a relationship in the fall of 2008. Its only turnoff was opposition to congestion pricing. Its first hook-up: Assemblyman Micah Kellner, D-Manhattan. Kellner officially got off the congestion pricing fence this week, saying he will vote for the program now that it includes a residential parking permit provision and exemptions for disabled drivers.
