The new baseball stadium being built for the New York Mets [1] will feature a variety of environmentally conscious features said Am newspaper [2] today.

Citi Field [3], which is rising in 2009, will be built of recycled steel and cement made of coal combustion products. The park will use energy-efficient lights and water conservation feature bathrooms with hands free water faucets, automatic flush toilets. Also, the new administration building will have a green roof.

While this type of advancement will cost money up front, by conserving energy it will over the long haul save the team money.
