The Belleayre Golf Resort will feature LEED-certified, environmentally sensitive buildings and an organic golf course.Amid news of Gov. Eliot Spitzer's resignation, Crossroads Ventures is insisting that its Belleayre Resort at Catskill Park [1] is proceeding as planned.

Last fall, the developer inked an agreement with Spitzer and New York City, which cleared the way for a scaled-back resort next to the state-owned Belleayre Mountain Ski Resort. [2]

According to the Daily Freeman [3], the plan also calls for the state to spend $45 million in taxpayer money to improve the ski center, an idea that is currently being challenged in court. Opposition groups are also challenging the validity of a deal they contend was made "under the table" with Crossroads Ventures.
