U.S. Rep. Kirsten Gillibrand, speaking to business, municipal and community leaders at a meeting of the Northern Dutchess Alliance, says she is advocating a redirecton of $13 billion dollars from oil companies to research in the alternative energy field.

She is also advocating agricultural reform and the farm bill, according to the Daily Freeman [1].
