
Join leaders in government, business, environment and academia for the fourth annual Symposium on Energy in the 21st Century. Speakers will include New York State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli who will speak on environmental audits; DEC Commissioner Peter Grannis, Kit Kennedy, Special Deputy Attorney General for Environmental Protection; Theo Spencer of the NRDC Climate Center on McKinsey Report; Jim Tripp, of Environmental Defense who will talk about transportation; Edna Sussman will give us an overview of the carbon trading and RGGI.
Our update on cutting-edge renewables will include Dr. Richard Perez, Atmospheric Sciences Research Center SUNY-Albany, who will give a report on the most up-to-date photovoltaic research; Dr. Thomas Amidon, SUNY ESF who will update us on Cellulosic Ethanol. Following the presentations, there will be a panel discussion with Ashok Gupta, as Panel Moderator. Keynote to be announced.
The symposium and lunch are free but registration is required as space will be limited. Last year over 300 people attended. Optional trips will be arranged including Wood Chips to Ethanol Process, Fenner Wind Farm, Morrisville College Biodigester, and Fitzpatrick Nuclear Facility.
