Antoine M. Thompson, New York State Senator, 60^th District (Erie & Niagara Counties) announced his summit on energy and the environment: “From Brownfields to Brightfields: Taking Control of Our Energy Future while Restoring the Land”.

The summit is a single day, two-part event.

Morning session 9:00am-12:00pm at the Buffalo Museum of Science, located at 1020 Humboldt Parkway.
Afternoon session scheduled for 1:00-4:00pm at the Niagara Falls Main Library, located at 1425 Main Street.

The purpose is to bring together energy and environmental professionals and advocates to collaborate on strategies to improve and promote renewable energy and energy efficiency and the Brownfield Opportunity Area Program (BOA) and Brownfield Tax Credit Program (BTC). Participants will also discuss legislative policy and the impact that each level of government can have on the region.

Co-Sponsors include NYS Apollo Alliance, United Steel Workers, The Knoer Group, Wind Action Group, Buffalo’s Green Gold Development Group, the WNY Environmental Justice Center, and many more.
