As the general election approaches on Nov. 6, the League has endorsed 42 candidates running for county Legislature, county executive, mayor and town supervisor. They hail from Long Island all the way to the Capital District, vying for seats in Albany, Rensselear, Saratoga, Schenectady, Westchester, Nassau and Suffolk counties.
North Castle Supervisor Reese BermanSteve Levy [0] and Bill Magnarelli [0] have earned our seal of approval for their county executive races in Suffolk and Onondaga counties, respectively. Tutunjian is proposing a forward-thinking environmental agenda [0] that includes more green buildings, emissions reduction and smart growth. In his eco-plans [0], Bramson is envisioning energy-efficiency and greater use of mass transit. McDonald's green plan [0] focuses on better wastewater management, open space and waterfront access.
