The Communications Director will be responsible for:
- Developing, writing and/or editing content for the website, daily blog, monthly newsletter and occasional emails to members.
- Cultivating media contacts and getting coverage for the organization, its program, policy and political work.
- Editing content for printed material including educational guides, fundraising letters, event invitations, policy documents and political advertisements.
- Managing the website, its Education Fund [0] as well as assisting with on-line advocacy and fundraising efforts.
Requirements include:
- Proven media placement abilities
- Superior writing skills
- Experience designing and implementing publicity strategies
- Familiarity with web site content management and ideas about internet branding
Salary: Commensurate with experience
