Lots of names are being added to the rumor mill, but the first to appear in writing is Brooklyn's Vito Lopez [1] (D-Bushwick/Williamsburg). Lopez would be an interesting choice as he would bring a greater focus on environmental justice issues faced by urban low-income/minority communities, i.e., brownfield redevelopment, asthma, lack of parkland.
