So says a new report [1] by the Bronx-based New Partners for Community Revitalization [2]. The group works to reclaim Brownfields in low-income areas. It's saying local governments and community groups are owed over $7 million by the state under the 2003 Brownfield Opportunity Area program [3].
The DEC's response? The grants are being (slowly) progressed. We are curious to see if this all changes under a Spitzer/Grannis tenure...
