Candidate for 55th State Senate District

The New York League of Conservation Voters, which works to make environmental sustainability a top political and policy priority in New York State, has announced its endorsement of Ted O'Brien in the 55th State Senate District.

O'Brien sponsored the "Renewable Energy Purchasing" proposal that would empower Monroe County to purchase 25 percent of its energy from nonpolluting, renewable energy sources. He authored a proposal to convert Monroe County's Request for Proposals system to an electronic system in an effort to save paper and ink. O'Brien also co-sponsored legislation entitled "Be the Change" to allow Monroe County to do business in a more efficient and sustainable manner.

I am thrilled to be endorsed by the New York League of Conservation Voters and can't wait to work alongside them in the State Senate."
