Will analyze state Legislature's progress
in five critical areas
Just how green is the New York State Legislature?
The 2012 Legislative Progress Report tracks legislation in five critical sustainability areas.Find out in the coming days, when NYLCV will issue our 2012 Legislative Progress Report.
This in-depth report will analyze lawmakers' progress on a sustainability issues in the 2012 session, which ended in late June. The report will focus on five critical policy areas: natural resource protection, public health protection, clean energy, transportation, and climate change & air quality. In each area, the Legislature will receive a letter grade, and an overall grade will also be issued.
NYLCV set the bar for progress back in January, with our 2012 State Policy Agenda. Individual lawmakers' support for environmental legislation will factor into our endorsements and electoral campaigns, which will be announced later this summer.
