Benefiting NYLCV's Capital District Chapter
On May 19, NYLCV honored Congressman Michael McNulty with its 2008 Environmental Lifetime Achievement Award and honored the Price Chopper/The Golub Corporation with its 2008 Corporate Pioneer Award. The awards were presented at our 2008 Eco-Breakfast, held at the Fort Orange Club in Albany. Over 100 people attended, including several local county and state elected officials.
Bill Sweet, of the Golub Corporation, left, accepts our 2008 Corporate Pioneer Award from Assembly Minority Leader Jim Tedisco.Congressman McNulty was selected for the 2008 Environmental Lifetime Achievement Award after receiving consistently high League of Conservation Voters scores for his votes on environmental legislation. He has been a champion of issues ranging from improving auto fuel economy and protecting public lands, to environmental justice and curbing power-plant emissions.
NYLCV honored Price Chopper/The Golub Corporation with its 2008 Corporate Pioneer Award for the company's commitment to environmental stewardship and social responsibility. Bill Sweet, Vice President of Engineering and Construction, accepted the award.
