During his tenure, DiNapoli has helped to pass some of the of some of the most important environmental actions over the past two decades, including protecting the Long Island Pine Barrens, cleaning up toxic sites, and increasing funding for the Environmental Protection Fund. "While we are saddened to see a consistent and strong environmental advocate depart from the legislature, we look forward to working with Tom DiNapoli as comptroller to see how his new role as the state's chief auditor and investor of pension funds can integrate his penchant for advancing sound environmental policies," said NYLCV Executive Director Marcia Bystryn.
