NYLCV Endorses Phil Barrett For Re-Election

Publication Date: October 30, 2007 Environment group endorses Barrett by Dan Higgins The New York League of Conservation Voters has endorsed Republican Phil Barrett for re-election as Clifton Park’s supervisor. The non-partisan group has cited Barrett’s open space preservation program and expansion of the town’s recycling program. It also praised a program in which the town has purchased development rights from farmers, encouraging the preservation of agricultural lands. “Clifton Park’s environment has a strong ally in Supervisor Barrett,” said Marcia Bystryn, the league’s executive director, in a press release. Barrett’s response: “I am pleased to be recognized by the New York League of Conservation Voters as a leader in protecticng Clifton Park’s environment and quality of life.” Environmental Issues |
