NYLCV's annual Westchester Dinner will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 17 at Reid Castle at Manhattanville College in Purchase. The cocktail hour will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the dinner program at 7 p.m.

 This year, we are pleased to honor local education institutions that have shown a commitment to sustainability. They include The College of New Rochelle, Manhattanville College, Purchase College and Westchester Community College. We are also delighted to have New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli as our keynote speaker.

 Our Westchester Chapter is working on a broad range of issues, including the preservation of open space, waterfront revitalization and the development of transit-oriented communities. Beginning this month, we will also be partnering with the Pace University School of Law to evaluate progress made on the Westchester Action Plan, which seeks to reduce the county's carbon footprint by 20 percent by 2015.
