NYLCV's New Generation 2013

It's a brand new day in Albany.

Thirteen new environmentally minded candidates just took their seats in the New York State Legislature for the very first time. Who are they? What districts do they represent? And what are their priorities for their first terms?

Welcome to NYLCV's New Generation 2013, a guide to Albany's new generation of environmental leadership.

ABOUT NYLCV'S NEW GENERATION 2013

NYLCV's New Generation 2013 examines each lawmaker's biography, their achievements, their records and their environmental philosophies. These up-and-coming leaders will play a key role in moving a sustainability agenda forward in the Assembly and State Senate.

Along with this information, NYLCV posts the candidates questionnaires that each of these thirteen new lawmakers completed last year. The questionnaires provide detailed responses to policy specifics, including each candidate's commitment to clean energy, the Environmental Protection Fund and public health.

The New York League of Conservation Voters is the only statewide organization that uses the power of endorsements to help elect pro-environment candidates. We support candidates on both sides of the political aisle and from both houses of the Legislature who will protect the environment, fight for climate change solutions and promote clean energy.

NYLCV's New Generation 2013 includes six State Senators and seven Assembly Members. Each of these lawmakers earned NYLCV's endorsement in last year's election. We look forward to working with the New Generation leaders, as well as all State Senators and Assembly Members, this year.
